For a dutch based company a new webshop is to be opened focussed on selling Delfts Blue. We got development skills but currently lack stunning art direction.

Looking for a designer/ art director who can set an authentic atmosphere and still keep it functional to sell around 1000 products in 10 categories. Also, knowing the charactaristics of a webshop is more then welcome.

The budget is not fixed yet, but we expect some time invested so count $2000 as a minimum reward.

The webshop has to be user-friendly, breathe authentic atmosphere, quality but affordable. People that come to spend $50 must feel welcome. Those who come to spend $2000 or more as well.

I'm a freelance developer based out of Austin, Texas who works on a dozen or so websites.

Right now I have the opportunity to work on projects that I don't have time for, my schedule is full!  So instead of declining the projects I'm hoping to connect with a few talented developers and potentially create an ongoing relationship.  There are five projects that I could pass along and would require roughly 10 - 20 hours of your time per week.

I am looking for a talented and knowledgeable developer (web ninja) to work closely with me on some exciting development projects. 

If you aren't able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, we probably won't be a good match. 

One thing I can promise, is your work won't get boring. Every project is different and requires a specific set of tasks.

Starting out, I am looking for a solid 15-20 hours per week. As new work streams it could continue to go up.

Please no firms. Just want a guy I can call directly when I need to discuss things etc.

Our company is a unique combination: it's a joint venture made up of a tiny e-learning startup with some big ideas, and one of the oldest, most prestigious educational publishers in the world, Cambridge University Press.

As our lead UI designer, you'll be responsible for shaping the entire English360 experience. This isn't just how our stuff looks - it's how it works. We're looking for someone with deep web application experience:  an innate ability to understand high level goals, design for optimal user experience, and translate those into user flows, screens, and final CSS/XHTML delivery.

We are looking for  a competent web developer/consultant with strong back end skills who can write good code and give good advice.

About Us:

We are a small Manufacturing company that makes Superchargers and related products. We have about 50 Employees but just 1 (me) working on websites.

We have five brands/sites, two of which we are focusing on:

• vortechsuperchargers.com - this is our largest site. You might notice some sloppy markup if you view source; it will be fixed.
• paxtonauto.com - this is another Supercharger brand, very similar to Vortech.

I am in the process of developing a shared framework to support both sites and need some help. I want to clean up some of the existing code and db structure from both sites to use in the framework and also add some new features, mostly having to do with user editing.

I am mainly a front end developer (HTML/CSS/Javascript) but I have been doing a lot of back end work on these sites. I would like to get some help from someone who has better back end skills than I do. If you also have front end skills then that would be great, too.

We run a dedicated LAMP server and the sites are written in PHP/MySQL, mostly custom written. I would be open to frameworks...

About You:

We need someone with the following skills:

• Application Design and Development (PHP/MySQL) - Please be able to help design an application based on a list of required features  (as opposed to simply code-monkeying to a hard spec).  In general, I am interested in code that is secure, runs fast and can be modified easily. Whatever methods you use are okay as long as the application works and it meets these requirements.
• Database Design (hopefully this was implied in the above item.
• Server Administration - It would be nice to have somebody who knows how to configure/install/upgrade LAMP software.
• Front end - You will probably be doing at least a little bit of front end work for us so please be able to write clean HTML and  some Javascript. CSS/visual design skills are not necessary but let me know if you have them.

Our preference would be to find somebody who is able to meet in person at our office in Oxnard, CA at least once, but we are open to anybody.

Budget/Timeline

I will need your input to come up with a budget. First, I would like to send you the source code that I'm working on so you can look through it and tell me what you think (good, bad, ugly), then we can talk more about what needs to be done with it and what features we are going to be adding. Once you have a better idea of what we need then you can give me a cost estimate.

I have been working on this project on and off for about 6 months and I am about halfway through. I would like to launch something before Summer.

Antonia is a small but thriving branding agency, based in Paris, France, with clients around the world, and a strong presence in the Mac OS X development market.

To help our clients carry the identities we devise for them on Mac OS X  itself, as well as on related platforms such as the iPad and iPhone OS, we are looking for a designer specialising in photorealistic Mac OS X icons.

As a photorealistic icon designer, you would work with the Antonia team, whether on turning existing logos into icons or on creating identities from scratch — depending on the client and project —, creating icons that fit the Mac OS X interface, look great at a high resolution and accurately represent real world objects. You should have a good mastery of your 3D and graphic software of choice, as well as a deep understanding of the Apple HIG to create icons that look real, and fit in the overall Mac OS X aesthetic.

Please note this job entails no other design (at the moment), as our team already comprises vector designers, cartoonists, photographers, etc. We are looking especially for the ability to create photorealistic compositions that bring shapes, materials and light to life.

Please note that some (not all) work would be performed under NDA, which may limit your ability to post results on your own website.

Projects usually have firm start and finish dates, but we always go to great lengths to allow designers to set their own deadlines.

Compensation is computed on a per-hour basis, based on submitted time sheets, and is always calculated in euros. We welcome designers from any country, so long as this arrangement is compatible with their own banking setup.
