Whole Foods Market will soon debut a robotic barista at its Houston-Midtown store.
The specialty grocer is introducing the Briggo Connected Coffee solution at the store on Thursday, Nov. 7. Customers can order coffees, cappuccinos, seasonal latte, and several other customizable, gourmet hot and iced coffee and tea drinks ahead via the Briggo Coffee mobile app or from one of multiple touchscreen kiosks inside the store. Using Briggo’s robotic technology, drinks are crafted within minutes.
Briggo is installing its robotic barista solution at the Whole Market store as part of the Friends of Whole Foods Market program. The program is an opportunity for innovative businesses and entrepreneurs to establish independent retail spaces inside Whole Foods Market stores.
“We are always looking to deliver fresh convenient experiences for our shoppers,” said Jessica Johnson-Keller, southwest regional VP for Whole Foods Market. “Briggo aligns with our Friends of Whole Foods Market mission and quality standards and we’re thrilled to have such an innovative local partner.”
Briggo also operates a fully-automated robotic coffee bar, or “Coffee Haus,” inside Terminal 3 of the San Francisco International Airport. This is the third airport location for Briggo, which has two locations inside Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Austin, Texas, and marks the beginning of rapid national expansion for the brand.
