An e-tail giant is opening a new office and more than doubling its workforce in Sin City.

Amazon recently opened a new 30,000-sq.-ft. office in Town Square in downtown Las Vegas. The new space is intended to accommodate the retailer’s plans to hire 125 new corporate employees supporting its human resources organization in the city. Currently, Amazon’s Las Vegas office has more than 100 employees specializing in managing leave of absence and accommodation services for the company’s employees across the U.S.

“We are excited to create more jobs in Las Vegas and continue to invest in the city and its people,” said Tami Dennis, site lead of Amazon’s Las Vegas office. “We’ve opened the doors to our new office and we’re looking forward to meeting more of the city’s terrific talent as we look to support the diverse needs of our workforce.”

Amazon says it has created more than 3,500 full-time jobs and invested over $2.5 billion in Nevada since 2011, including customer fulfillment infrastructure and compensation to employees. The company estimates that these direct investments in the state contributed more than $1.5 billion to Nevada’s economy (2011-2018) and generated an additional 4,000 indirect jobs on top of the company’s direct hires.

Additionally, Amazon is funding computer science classes or robotics programs in 11 Nevada high schools through Amazon Future Engineer, a childhood-to-career computer science program for young adults from underserved and underrepresented communities. Amazon has also awarded three students from Nevada the Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship award, which provides $40,000 in funding to students from disadvantaged or underrepresented backgrounds to study computer science in college, and receive a guaranteed, paid internship offer at Amazon.
