Three new signings opening in The Beacon, Eastbourne, UK

Three new signings have opened in the £85 million extension of The Beacon, Eastbourne, in the last week.

Jamaica Blue, Phase Eight and The Bok Shop are the latest additions to a growing list of retailers and restaurants in the shopping centre since the extension opened just over a year ago.

Funded by owners Legal & General, the 170,000 sq ft extension has already added new names Cineworld, H & M, Nando’s, Next, FatFace, Schuh, Jack Wills, New Look, Flying Tiger, Paperchase, JoJo Maman Bébé, Lovisa, Skechers, Neon Sheep and QUIZ.


It was the seventh brand of Jamaica Blue’s casual dining experience to open nationally offering shoppers fine coffee and classic dishes with their own twist.

Womenswear designer clothing brand Phase Eight has relocated from a town centre site to bigger premises in the Centre.

Independent free-range fried chicken (and vegan “chicken”) restaurant The Bok Shop has opened on the first floor of The Beacon. It is the second restaurant for owners Howard Kaye and Jamie O’Mara who run a hugely popular eatery in Brighton.

Legal & General Fund Manager Andrew Rice said: “We are delighted to open three more quality brands in time for Christmas, two of which are new to the town and the third expanding with bigger and better premises in the Centre. We continue to breathe more retail life into the town. It is a huge vote of confidence for The Beacon and Eastbourne.”
